Revised Solar Tracker Plans

I recently had someone contact me who built a tracker using my plans on my site. He had a real difficulty programming the Sony remote that I use on my tracker. So did I. He asked for help. I have written some instructions and will attach them to the plans on the site in a few days.

Installed a Solar Gate

Well I guess I might as well start off a related post about a new solar installation that my brother-in-law and I did. We installed a solar gate. Our driveway gate is 1000 feet from our home. We used to manually open and close the gate. Now we just push a

button and open sez a me. It was not that difficult to do and was actually enjoyable getting everything working. The final sit back and push the button was sorta fun!

Sorta Been Busy

Just thought I would place a post about this blog and its moderator. Shortly after setting up my web site and this blog I came down with leukemia. I spent a large amount of time last year being treated and am happy to say that the leukemia is gone and I am in remission.

I hope to be able to post more items and keep this blog up to date.

Solar Cooler

We made a solar evaporative cooler using an existing cooler that I purchesd at Wal Mart several years ago. It has worked well in our drier climate. I have made plans showing how I made it and made them available through our website Living On Solar. You can also view the video at the bottom of the page on the You Tube Section. If you have any questions about the cooler, this is a good place to ask.

Solar Tracker

I made a solar tracker for use with the solar air conditioner that we made. A video and a set of plans is available that shows how it works on our website. I have had a few small glitches that I have basically overcome. I am hoping that I can get some feedback from those that have seen the video.
